We have put together a set of expeditions for you that utilise the holiday time, but also ensures enough time for additional school work.
Provided students have demonstrated the required level of competence and have shown suitable behavior during training, they will not be directly supervised during the expedition. Appropriately qualified expedition staff will be at a ratio of one per two teams and each DofE group will be met at check points along their planned route and will have been briefed on what do in case of emergency. Expedition staff will be on site at the campsite overnight. Whilst on expedition any communication between parents/guardians and students will need to go through expedition staff as it is a requirement of the Duke of Edinburgh award that direct communication is not permitted.
Cost: £250 (inc. VAT) – Per Person for ALL 3 Expeditions
Further specific details (including: link to Medical & Consent form, supervision details, kit list, suggested food list, specific drop off and pickup locations and times, kit explanation guide, rucksack packing advice,) will be provided in the participants ‘Expedition Preparation Guide’.
This will be sent out with the booking confirmation email. This is a comprehensive 13-page document, that should provide you with a ‘one-stop-shop’ of information.
