2 DAY TRAINING, 3 DAY PRACTICE & 3 DAY ASSESSMENT
Open Silver Walking Expeditions 2018
Doing your DofE Silver expeditions is a great way to build on skills from the Bronze Award or learn new skills if you haven’t done Bronze before. For our Silver walking expeditions we use locations such as The New Forest and South Downs allowing the participants to gain a real sense of adventure and wilderness. Below are the details of each of the expeditions, Training, Practice and Assessment.
The training will take place over two days at our Inspired Adventure Center, during these days you will learn what you need to know in order to successfully complete the rest of your practice expedition being remotely supervised. As part of the training and practice expedition you will learn skills such as, Navigation, Route Planning, First Aid, Emergency Procedures, Camp Craft, Expedition cooking and Nutrition, Health and Safety, and Kit requirements.
We make this fun and enjoyable with practical learning techniques, mixed with games and activities.

Thank you Matt, Charlie & Debs! I just wanted to drop you an email to say thank you so much for everything on this expedition. It really opened my eyes to what I myself could achieve and what our group could achieve in the face of challenging conditions. I know I surprised myself and I'm sure the whole group realised afterwards what a difficult expedition that was and how well we tackled it.Matthew, Open Gold Participant 2017
Your continued support, stories and banter really was welcome! Looking back now I'm so grateful for the opportunity, the staff that accompanied it and just the fact that we did it!
