Doing your DofE Gold expeditions is an experience that you will never forget. Below are the details of each of the expeditions, Training, Practice and Assessment.
You will learn what you need to know during our training weekend, based at Inspired HQ in Marlow. During the weekend you will learn skills such as: Navigation, Route Planning, First Aid, Emergency Procedures, Camp Craft, Expedition cooking and Nutrition, Health and Safety, and Kit requirements.
We make this fun and enjoyable with practical learning techniques, mixed with games and activities.
Dates: 15th & 16th July 2017.
4 day 3 night practice in the Brecon Beacons. During the four days the groups will experience a mixture of directly and remotely supervised planned activity. Additional trianing will be given specific to the wild counrty and mountainous terrain.
Dates: 24th – 27th July 2017
5 day 4 night assessed expedition to Dartmoor. During the assessment you will be overseen by an external assessor accreddited to the DofE. They will be ensuring you and your group adhere to the 20 conditions.

Once you have booked you will be sent a link to our online medical and consent form and ‘Expedition Prepartion Guide’. In this guide it has all the timings, locations, kit lists, food requirements and specific details for each of the expeditions.
You must also see your DofE Coordinator to enrol in the Gold DofE award – there will be an additional cost for this (approx £30).
Deposit payment is £150, full balance is due by the 5th June 2017.
