Sea Kayaking

This set of expeditions allows you to paddle in the unique and spectacular landscapes of Scotland and Croatia. Both countries offer you a remote experience with sandy beaches and mountain ranges and a challenging yet respected adventure.

Our training program includes a training weekend, based at our Adventure Centre and HQ in Marlow. During the weekend you will be introduced to the world of kayaking and develop your paddling skills, ready for your practice in Scotland.

Also covered during the training weekend will be skills such as: Navigation, Route Planning, First Aid, Emergency Procedures, Camp Craft, Expedition cooking and Nutrition, Health and Safety, Kit Requirements and Rescue Skills.

We make this fun and enjoyable with practical learning techniques, mixed with games and activities.

8 Day practice expedition on the Scottish Sea Lochs West of Glasgow.

During the practice you will build on the kayak and expeditioning skills learnt during your training weekend with a mixture of directly supervised and remotely supervised planned activity. You will experience wild camping (and campsite camping) along your route on the Lochs. During this practice expedition our experienced team of instructors will ensure the participants are competent and ready for the assessment expedition in Croatia.

8 Day Assessment on the Adriatic Sea in Croatia, based out of Split.

The highlight of this expedition package is the assessment on the coastline surrounding Split. Explore the local islands, wild beaches and clear blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. Truly breathtaking scenery and a experience to remember. Your DofE assessment will be overseen by an accredited assessor to the DofE.
